At Michael Roberts Associates, it is important for us to share with clients and the greater community not only what we do as a firm, but also what causes we care about. This year, we chose to support Clear Path for Veterans at our annual client appreciation event held on Thursday July 21st at Greenwood Winery & Bistro. With the help of Clear Path, those who have served our country have a safe and respectful environment to turn to for help with readjusting to the real world. We are grateful to have been able to work closely with Clear Path for Veterans and proud to have raised over $1,100 to support their organization.
Our “wine pull,” to raise money for Clear Path, was a great success. We had a total of 54 bottles donated by friends, family, clients and members of our firm, and we are proud to say that every bottle sold. Through the generosity of those who participated in the “wine pull,” and those who made anonymous donations, we were able to give back to Clear Path for Veterans to help them continue to give back to those who have served. We at Michael Roberts would like to sincerely thank everyone who donated wine bottles for our “wine pull” and all of the guests who participated. It is because of people like you that we were able to raise so much for Clear Path and help them continue their mission to help veterans.
Michael Roberts would also like to thank Greenwood Winery & Bistro for putting on such a fantastic event for us. greenwood-croppedFrom the beauty of the venue in itself to the wonderfully accommodating staff, our guests were able to enjoy a lovely evening filled with good food, good wine, good friends and help support a good cause. With over 130 guests in attendance, Greenwood helped ensure everyone had an enjoyable time at our event and we look forward to hosting future events at this venue again.
Michael Roberts Associates President Neil Hoyt gave a brief presentation on some of our core philosophies and our experienced team. Neil spoke of our:
- Belief in dividends
- Focus on the long-term
- Low portfolio turnover
- Belief in the reduction of complexity in a portfolio
One of the highlights of the evening was the moving speech by Security Forces Senior Airman, Jamie Biviano. We are honored to have had her speak at our event, and for all that she has done to serve our country so bravely. The story of her service time in the Air National Guard, her deployment to Afghanistan and her health struggles upon her return to the U.S. was powerful and moving. She spoke of the positive impact that Clear Path for Veterans had on her life, and how she would not be here without them. She also brought her service dog Kayto, that she trained under the Clear Path for Veterans Dogs2Vets program.
Thank you again to everyone who helped make the Michael Roberts Associates Summer BBQ a success! We hope you all enjoyed yourselves at our event and we look forward to seeing you all at future events to come.
